Sarah was born and raised on a Christmas tree farm in Allentown, New Jersey. She attended the University of Delaware where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. Sarah has spent her entire life working in the hospitality industry in all facets including Operations, Accounting and Human Resources.

Sarah is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Rise & Shine Hospitality Group where she has spearheaded the development of the Accounting and HR components of the business since 2015. In 2021, along with Rise & Shine founder Johan Engman, she founded Sunny Side Accounting in order to provide hospitality-focused accounting solutions to San Diego businesses and beyond.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending her time with her husband Adam, dog Ollie, family and friends. You will likely find her traveling, exploring nature, or enjoying a concert or sporting event.
