Johan Engman has worked in the hospitality industry for more than two decades, beginning his career in restaurants and eventually developing several concepts in Southern California. He is also the Founder and CEO of Rise & Shine Hospitality Group, the parent company behind multiple restaurant brands. His work in the restaurant field led to the co-founding of Sunny Side Accounting, which provides accounting support for hospitality businesses.

Johan has been recognized by organizations such as the San Diego Business Journal and Ernst & Young for his leadership in the industry. He appreciates these honors as acknowledgments of the teams and partners he has worked alongside over the years.

Originally from Östersund, Sweden, Johan moved to San Diego as a teenager and has called it home ever since. He enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, and spending time outdoors with his wife, Yasmin, their two children, and their dogs.
